Strategic Thinking and Problem Solving
Most professionals are good at doing the work in front of them. Fewer can step back, see the whole picture, and work out what really matters. That skill is strategic thinking, and it is what employers look for when they decide who moves into leadership.
This course teaches you to think like a strategist. You’ll start with what strategy means and the habits that set strategic thinkers apart. Then you’ll work through seven proven analytical frameworks used by consultants, analysts and executives around the world: the Cs and P, the Marketing Mix, the McKinsey 7S, Porter’s Five Forces, PESTEL, SWOT and the BCG Matrix.
Each framework is explained in plain language with practical examples, so you know what it is, when to use it and what it can tell you. You then put them to work in a capstone case study. By the end, you’ll have a set of tools you can apply right away to analyse a market, assess a business, review a competitor or build a stronger case for a decision.
The course is self-paced, with just over 3 hours of video across 12 lessons, plus the case study. No prior business knowledge is needed. It suits business analysts, project managers, consultants, entrepreneurs and anyone preparing for a leadership role, and you receive a certificate of completion when you finish.
